7-13-08 Sunday Service The Forest Flood -- "The Summer of Love"
Download this episode (68 min)
Pastor Randy recalls the summer of 1967 in history as the summer of love that changed America. His call is to another summer of love, this time, the perfect love of God falling on a remnant of God's people and rolling out to the nation in a transforming power. If 100,000 hippies informally converging on San Fransisco can have a history making impact on the world, how MUCH MORE could happen if the church decided to be the LOVE OF GOD, INCARNATE in the summer of '08. This message will light fires!

aw, did i miss an altar call?
(...it's funny how the words "altar" and "alter" sound alike, in that context.)
Anyway,
that's a cool reference point; a creative movement starting because of drugs. Because drugs are being driven from Wisconsin--even more, replaced by God. What I love about God is that He doesn't expect us to trade something for nothing.
It's not a drug-driven art world replaced with an artless, drugless world; the new thing is so much better: a GOD-driven art world!
Happy morning,
~ghi
